Have you just recently launched your web site and wondering why it is not included in the search engines when you do a search for your domain name? The reason for that is that the engines don’t know that your site exists and you don’t have any inbound links either, which would send them to your site.
In order to be included in the search engines quickly, you will need to get the search engine spiders to access your site, so Google and others will be able to read it. This is called the crawl process. Once this is done the site will be added to the search engine’s index, which process is known as indexation.
So how do you get the spiders to access your site? You’ll need to submit its URL to search engines. I recommend submitting it at least in the 3 major search engines, Google, Yahoo and Bing (formerly known as MSN and Live).
